The Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore at Pietrasanta in Naples hosts – for the first time – a major exhibition dedicated to Marc Chagall.

From 15 February to 30 June 2019 Chagall. Sogno d’amore is an extraordinary opportunity to admire more than 150 works by Marc Chagall and retrace his artistic production characterized by an elegant and utopian world, full of wonder and awe. It will be possible to admire works in which memories of childhood, fairy tales, poetry, religion and war coexist; a universe of dreams with bright colors and intense shades that give life to landscapes populated by characters, real or imaginary, that crowd into the artist’s imagination. Works that reproduce an imaginary dream in which it is difficult to discern the boundary between reality and dream.
